Nicky and Andy's wedding 6/27/09

Ahhh, back to the nice weather - that's more like it! Saturday was just a superb day for a wedding - lucky Nicky and Andy - they sure picked a great day! Or I should call them Mr. & Mrs. One as Father Picard from the Church of St. Andrew called them! Nicky was a little nervous when we arrived at her parent's house, but it didn't take long before she was relaxing and having a great time. They picked a great church too - I hadn't been there since last April - it sure is beautiful inside with all the stain-glass windows! Great for photos. After the ceremony, we went to Bucks County Community College for a wonderful and fun time with the families and the bridal party. We had a lot of time for pictures - we love that because we can really take our time and be "creative" as we want to be! We can live up to our name for sure. The different settings, backdrops, and architecture are all perfect for photos. Nicky and Andy have been together for 8 years - they met through their best man, Bobby, and their bridesmaid, Erin. They really make a great couple together - it was very apparent all day long! After the photos, we headed to Warrington CC. Maid of honor and sister of the bride, Tasha, gave a very funny and animated speech - one of the best we've heard on a wedding! A night filled with lots of dancing at Warrington Country Club ended the terrific day. We hope you two are enjoying your honeymoon in Alaska.

Crissy and Brian's engagement session

Here's a couple that we are looking forward to their wedding, only we'll be waiting until next year!! We had a fun night at Font Hill on Tuesday night with Crissy and Brian. Crissy is one of our faithful blogger fans (aka stalkers) and Facebook fans, so I wanted to get her pictures up ASAP (I felt the pressure!!) We had a picture-perfect night with this very cute and laid-back couple - weather was cooperating for a change. Let's all hope this weather continues - we've had enough rain already, right?! Font Hill is one of our favorite places for engagement sessions, so we were happy to be there with Crissy and Brian - I think we captured some great shots!

Justin and Brooke's beach engagement photos!

Wow, twice in one week we saw this dynamic duo! Brooke and Justin were at Brittany's shower last Sunday, and then we met them at the beach in Margate this past Friday for a great night of photos. Their wedding date is right around the corner - in September - that's going to be a fun one, for sure! We haven't had too many days/evenings without rain, but we sure did pick a good night for their engagement pix - thankfully we didn't pick Saturday to do them! Brooke and Justin were able to give some great smiles in between the gnats biting us! Actually they were only biting me and Justin - not sure why they weren't getting Aleen and Brooke too. Oh, well - what can ya do? For some reason, they thought they were invited for pictures because they not only were on the beach, but they followed us over to the bay side for some sunset photos too! It was overcast all day, but the sun managed to come out and give us a great sunset just in time to end the night on a good note!

Laura's maternity session

Tonight we had a great time photographing Laura, Quain, their daugher, Brooke, and their future son, Jackson! We did Laura and Quain's wedding 9 years ago (wow, does time ever fly!) We can usually remember their wedding because it was right after we moved into our house which Laura's dad sold to us (Remax realtor Jack Poole - you probably see his name out there on the signs!) Anyway, the family is growing - Laura is due in July. Our dog, Dani, wanted to be a part of the family - she jumped in for a shot - Brooke liked that! It's always so nice to be included in our couple's lives - thanks for a special night!

Brittany's bridal shower

On Sunday we celebrated with Brittany and all of her family and friends at her surprise bridal shower! Brittany is the daughter of one of Aleen's friends (Lisa) whom she has been friends with since she was 9 years old! Brittany and John are getting married this coming October - we can't wait! It's going to be a blast. If you look close enough, you might even see Aleen in one group shot and me in another!! Once in a while, we get to be in the picture!! It was great to see everybody on Sunday - 10/3 will be here before we know it! Brittany had a gazillion gifts to open - I think they got everything they ever want! We were so glad we could be there celebrating with all of you.

Liz and Jamie's wedding 6/13/09

When life serves you lemons, you make lemonade. And that we did on Saturday! We had a torrential downpour of rain, yet this was one of the happiest brides we've ever had. It was a real pleasure watching Liz all day, smiling and laughing all day - this rain didn't matter one iota. Heck, she was even laughing walking under umbrellas (which we needed many) into the church at the North and Southampton Reformed Church in Churchville. It was contagious to everybody else too as we all had a terrific day! We met Liz and her family at a Pine Crest Bridal Show a while back, and we had an instant connection with them from day 1. We were happy their day was here at last! Liz and Jamie were in love all day long - it was great to witness through the camera! We had the patio of the church to do some romantic shots of Liz and Jamie - we were quite thrilled we had that available (even though the rain was pounding all around us!). People had a hard time getting to the church and to the reception as 7 inches of water came down in this immediate area and flooded out many of the local roads. Everybody made it to the reception though - nobody would have missed it! Pine Crest graciously extended the cocktail hour so the guests could enjoy that. There were a lot of emotional speeches throughout the night - even Aleen and I had tears!! It's hard to shoot when you're crying! Everybody had an awesome time dancing to the music from CTO Park Avenue - we sure had lots of action shots on the dance floor. Oh, and the filet mignon was out of this world - we enjoyed the dinner along with all of the guests!! It was truly a great night! And hopefully Liz and Jamie are getting some much-needed sunshine in St. Lucia - they deserve it!
Best wishes - Paula and Aleen

Stacey and Brett's wedding 6/7/09

Look at me, blogging on the same day of the wedding we just photographed!! Don't get too spoiled, this doesn't happen too often. We are leaving on a mini-vacation for 4 days so I wanted to get this up online before we left! Today was another beautiful, beautiful day for a wedding - they can just keep on coming. We can't ask for better weather than what we've had this year for weddings. Today was Stacey and Brett's big day - it seemed like so long ago when they booked with us and it finally got here. Stacey and Brett had an emotional first meeting (although Stacey tried not to cry!) before we did all the photographs. Stacey and Brett were really laid back with the photos, so that always makes it easy on us. You could also really see the love they had for each other all day long! It was great to spend some time with Stacey's family because we're photographing Stacey's sister, Lisa's, wedding in August of this year so we'll be back with them in a few months! Two weddings in one year in the family - whew! After the signing of the ketubah, the wedding ceremony took place on the patio outside with some lovely music by Lou Lanza from Brandywine Valley Talent. Then the band, Deja Groove, from Brandywine Valley Talent, entertained the guests the rest of the night for the reception. I love the hora - the bride & groom up in the air on chairs - that's always some great shots for us! There were lots of dancing shots to be had all evening, that's for sure! They also had a crowning ceremony for Brett's parents as Brett was the last child getting married. Thanks for a wonderful day, Stacey and Brett, and have a terrific honeymoon!! Mazel Tov!
